R & R IBR gate and trim ring

The service manual tells me to replace all the bolts with new. When you guys pull this, are you replacing the bolts? Seems like overkill to me, but before I take apart I wanted to see what those of you that do this are doing. Thanks!

I reuse them and add Loctite 242 on everything. The only bolts I have replaced on my ski are the pump bolts and the valve train bolts.

Just don't overtighten them... If they do spin, no big deal you will just have to replace the plates & gaskets. I've changed them twice...

Last people to put them in were my dealer, so god knows what they are at. I think the book says like 100 INCH lbs or something, so not much.

I thought it was an involved deal to replace the plates and gaskets. Did I miss read that somewhere?

You got it - major ass pain! Have to remove the iBr motor and battery to get to those suckers........like Glade Rider said....just hand tighten snug with Loctite 242. Hopefully your dealer didn't crank them down....you will know soon enough.

Order a set now for the future - they are pretty cheap.

IBR motor out, Battery out, Pump out...Then its pretty easy. Good thing is you will know the workings of your ski very well after this...
