2009 fzr misfire at low rpm....

2 weeks back I removed my Ecu to upgrade from r2 to r3 but never got around
to shipping it out. the weather has been spectacular of late so yesterday
i put the back in so i could ride. went out last night and the ski would not idle and misfired unless
over 5000rpm. it sorted itself out pretty quickly though. today i tried the ski without the powershot and
it wouldnt even idle. once again it seemed to sort itself out eventually. afr is 9.5 to 10 when it is miss firing.
5000 rpm and higher the afr is all good.

    lost...

I would check your plugs for a start how many hours on them.

Try the plugs dude. Mine freaked out very similarly about a month or so ago. New plugs cured it!

i was leaning away from plugs, but will try it. ski runs perfect at WOT. plugs dont normally run good under load but good not loaded. checking voltage tonight.

I would agree with the other posts. I would start with plugs. I would also agree with you as my experience has showed plugs don't usually run well on top but my new engine is breaking in and running rich right now(10-10.2avg on AFR's). I have a RRFPR on the way to dial it in but the first day out after the initial break in the engine was hard starting, wouldn't idle without some throttle input and sometimes would not rev over 5000rpm unless I came to an idle and then hit it again and then it would rev up into the 7600-7800 range but still would not run crisp at all on top past 7800 but so far the new 1.9L is running 78.6 mph @7800 rpm so showing promise so far. The plugs fouled from the richer break in process and when replaced, the engine was fine so if it were me, I would definitely start there.
