    2001 Yamaha SUV First run

    Well,
I purchased this SUV, finally got to take it out for the first time yesterday. I have found two things with this ski:
1 - It would only go 41 MPH.
2 - It would cavitate so much when more than 2 riders on it, that it couldn't get on a plane.
3 - that being said, this thing is wicked with just 1 or 2 people on it.

I have not investigated into the why it is cavitating so much, but I did notice that there was probably 1/8" of clearance between the impeller and wear ring.

    What do you all think?

    Thanks!!
    Tony

    Well, that's too much clearance...

1/16" max around the prop, time for replacement.
