Towing a RXP behind a boat??

Sorry if this a re post, I did a search but came up dry.

Is it safe to tow a ski behind a boat, what I mean is it going to harm the ski in anyway by towing it while the engine is not running?

    Thanks!

Yes, you need to crimp the hose so now water flows through the block at all.

Actually on a 4tec its only the exhaust and intercooler if applicable

Where are these hoses located and how accessible are they? If I am going to be idling along with the boat do I still need to do the shut off valves?

I'd rather be safe than sorry, they are the lines inside the hull coming thru the transom

It can still go into the motor through the exhaust

The lake patrol were kind enough to give me a tow (idling) after a line popped loose and nearly sank my ride.
After getting home and pulling the exhaust, the waterbox was completely full of water! Idling! A pvc valve from Loew's is a cheap fix. If you must tow, turn the valve and be worry free.

Go to this post: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...l=1#post885117 Note the edit in red that says updated instructions at post #22. Download the PDF. Part of the instructions tells how to shut off a simple "Tow Valve" to the ski.

Thanks for all the advice! I have decided against it unless I absolutely have to.
