I have worked on and ridden both. Keep the Yamaha and sell the STX. The Yamaha is way more comfortable and handles the rough stuff better. Also feels stronger on power.

More comfortable ??? Thats interesting, didnt think that there was a difference in jet skis.
As far as the rough stuff goes, that shouldnt be too much of a problem since I live on a small lake and waves arent an issue. But saying that, how easy is it to flip one of these things?
    Thanks for the help.

Difficult to flip, you have to really be trying. The STX hull chine walks at lower speeds, I just don't like it. The seat and handlebar positioing makes a big difference between skis. Also I don't care much for Kawi pumps. I own a Kawi, a Yamaha, and 2 Seadoos. And I work on any brand.
