What did you guys pay to have the end cap tig welded back on?
How much time was involved?
Trying to get an idea on what is a resonable price!

take a wize whell and cut on the inside edge of the weld it will leave the lips on the end cap intakt so it will be easier to weld back on but ass for the time maybe 5 mins to cut off and 5-15 mins to weld it back on price depends on the welder my self i had a buddy do it so it didnt cost me anything cus i did the green hulk waterbox mod i woudlnt say do it not saying it doesnt work cus it has worked for alot of people but with mine the baffle burned out and a piece blocked my thru hull and made my ski over heat i suggest talkign to shibby he has a method that works on making a rotax box if you cant afford on because that would be the best rout i think is just buy the water box saves some time i learned that

i gotta agree with Monkey.... if you are gonna go thru the efforts of cutting the stock waterbox open, only to drill holes in the baffle and slap it back together... go burn your time and money somewhere else... and the baffle falling apart and causing overheats seems to be a popular phenomenon... whether it's the cause or not i dunno and dont care... it's just too coincidental consistently for my liking.... modded waterbox didn't go so well for me either...
i'm a believer of the ALL-OR-NONE strategy... keep it stock, or go full blown gutted and shortened to a rotax racing box or one modified to replicate it.
i know plenty of people will chime in and say, OH! but i've modded my stock waterbox and have had no problems since... ok well guess what, you still can't remove your SC without pulling the exhaust apart
from what I've heard... I believe Race Tech's Mark Underwood has worked up a jig or template of some sorts to be able to modify and process stock boxes modified to rotax racing specs at a more timely fashion...
just my .02 and experience

Shib this is kinda what I was thinking also for 4 more horses and probley $80 to cut, mod and then reweld I think I would get more from a $100 pump wedge!

relieves the congestion around the SC inlet... makes working on the ski so much more pleasant
