    Check valve for VXR...

Ok, so my dealership provided me with the check valve to replace the 90 elbow in the vxrs cooling system, but did not mount it because they were, "not sure where, it depends on whether you want it for towing, or for when in reverse".
I am confused, would acheck valve make the ski safe for towing? I don't see how, and if it would, where would I put it.

Assuming that they are crazy , and that check valve is to prevent water intrusion while in reverse, does anyone have apic which shows exactly where it goes?

Also, while we are on the subject, what can be done to make it safe to two? I would think a selectable shut off would work, but am not sure where is best to install one?

Anyone else come up with a solution in case a long tow is needed?

    Thanks for the help.

its for the bilge system, not the cooling system, its mounted high up on the mid wall with two hoses, just pull the 90 and replace it with the new check valve 90 with the arrow pointing out towards the rear of the hull. that will stop alot of the water entering the hull when riding

Awesome. John, 1200,thanks fetches help. I could not imagine how a check valve could be mounted in he cooling system to stop flow for towing. Will mount as described.

What about towing, while we are on the subject? What can done to make it safe to tow, should the need arise?
