    GTX IS 260 Boost Lag??

Have a quick question about the 260 Engine power delivery....

One of the guys I ride with has a 2011 GTX IS 260 Limited... It's a nice Ski and is a trip to ride with the suspension system. However, when riding it, It takes FOREVER for the power to spool up and kick in. Is this normal? I took it into a turn and pounded the gas WOT... It went into a sideways slide (for like a whole football field ) as the power did not come on soon enough to flip the boat around and puckered me up pretty good (although it was really stable).... It has 7 or 8 hours on it.

I've ridden quote a few Doos but this is the only 260 I've been on... the 215 rxp I ride all the time does not lag like this and the power comes on pretty quick. Is this just the way the 260 boats run or should he take it to the dealer and complain??

I rode a 255 X and it did lag some.. but not as bad as this GTX. It seems dangerous to me because of losing your steering for a couple seconds waiting for the power to kick in.

thx! Just trying to help a brother out.....

Sounds like you were in touring mode and not sport mode.

Your in touring mode... Put it in Sport's mode and you will think someone put one of JPT's jet engines in it...
