Hmmmm.......I asked my dealer that very question today. Obviously I'll be following up tomorrow as I spoke with the Dealership Owner as I was leaving work. I'm going to research that Moss act more (thanks for the post) and push that angle. I wanted to talk to the guy (Bill) who made the decision, but I'm told I'm not allowed. I would like to ask him point blank how my GPS bypass (which isn't necessary in non-US models) affects the reverse bucket position in neutral. I would like to ask him why they changed the design of the drive shaft in 2011. Also, I would like to ask him what impact my new seat cover would have on the supercharger because if that ever goes (it's stock), I'm sure it will be the seat cover's fault.

+1. If you're willing to spend the money seek the advice of an attorney. See if the Magnuson Moss Act will help you.

There is part of the problem...It is a Mastercraft dealer...They sell 100k ski boats all day long and dont care or fight for the PWC owner...

You need to find a PWC only dealer...Wish you lived closer to Atl....

Actually, they have been great in all of this. Great dealer and great people. Most of their business is PWC though. They sell the whole line of Sea Doo along with MC, Tige and a couple others. The owner, Gary, is still trying to find a solution to this mess. So in this case, they are fighting on my behalf. But I understand your statement. I've had bad experiences with other dealers. The dealer that sold me my 29' Fountain blew me off when it had problems.......and that was a 90k boat!!!! But I didn't buy the 900k boat..........so there you go.

Oh well. This stuff will get solved one way or another. Now that my blood pressure is down, I'll be able to think more rationally.

I have to admit I saw some local 2010 Sea Doo with twisted spline like yours.
To bad you didn't put it back to stock even if you knew this was a problem on the Sea Doo.

Now of course the dealer will tell you your propeller did that... even if it not the case.

But Sea Doo should admit they had that issue.

I've been going back and forth with BRP about the reverse issue for a year and sadly the 2010 can't adjust its bucket in neutral like the 2012. I believe that when my iCatch dropped my ski, it landed on the bucket and damaged either the linking or ibr motor. Since then the bucket sits a lot lower at neutral than other skis, it's easy to see. I kept that video unlisted until I got my final answer today........which happened to coincide with their final answer about the drive shaft. Using the reverse bucket shouldn't harm the drive shaft at all. My problem with the whole ibr thing is that sometimes when we stop to let other riders catch up or hanging at the fuel dock waiting for others to fill up, I don't realize I'm moving backwards at all. I tested it in open water and if you give it a chance, it will back up in neutral just as fast as if I was holding the left handle at idle. I nearly rammed the center console at the fuel dock, that's when I decided to turn on my cameras and document the issue yet again. The funny thing is that someone from BRP admitted there was a problem, but now I'm being told that the GPS bypass module is to blame.

As for my drive shaft, I'm being told that the Solas prop is to blame. I got hit with 2 piles of BS today at once. They have nothing to do with each other...Sorry for the confusion.

PS: My dealer is still trying to figure something out for me. As far as dealers go, they are tops in my book. Other dealers would have just given me a bill and punt.

Thanks for the reference to the Moss Act.

    Hey....
In Australia we have a State Government body called "Department of Fair trading " they take on all consumer complaints and basically they act on consumer complaints and check weather it's been handled properly or not.
Being the US and everything is bigger and better, do you have such a Government body?
Also there is the ombudsman......do you have one of those?
