    Gas lines on sl 650

Ok..I've been replacing the electrical box in my sl 650. I took the engine out and got it all done. I got the engine back in and everything but I forgot where each gas line hooks up to where. There s for lines but only 3 spots to connect to on the side. So my question is where does each hose go?

I would suggest you go ahead and upgrade to the triple pump on your ski, ask anyone on here and they will tell you the same, running single pump is dangerous on those skis and you risk damage to your motor at some point.

Here is a factory one with a higher flow but it will still need a re build

Here is aftermarket on that is fresh either one should be good it has less flow rate but enough for your sl 650

1993 had the old style fuek pick up inside the tank.

Hopefully you have the aluminum retainer ring to screw the fuel pick up down to the tank. The plastic ones were known to crack.

Anyways, lift the fuel pick up out of the tank and inspect the fuel hoses. they are known to fail due to age. Replace them if necessary.

Then you can tell where your hoses should go too.

    Longest hose is the reserve.

Next is the main fuel line

Then the return and vent can be installed on either of the fittings with no hose.

Ok. I have the reserve and main fuel line. But there's 2 hoses left and only one fitting. One of the hoses is the really short one that runs to that small cup thing( idk what it's called) and the other runs to the fuel tank..I'm confused? Haha

    You should have 4 fittings.

Did you click on the link I posted? #2 is a diagram for the routing.

Reserve to 1 side of the petcock.

Main to the other side of the petcock

And the "out" should go through the water seperator to the fuel pump "inlet" Just like the diagram shows.
