New to PWC's and Greenhulk and have a couple of questions

I just picked up a 1998 Polaris SLTH w/ the 700 Twin engine. It has 131 hours on it. I have taken it out on the water twice. The first time I discovered that the carbs needed to be rebuilt after it died while running. It did run for 30 minutes or so and on got up to 41 mph. I noticed that oil had blown out around the spark plug. It made a spot about the size of a quarter.
So, I rebuilt the carbs and tuned them on a hose just enough to get out on the water. When I took the ski out today, after dialing in the carbs, it ran GREAT! My skinnier-than-me son got it up to 51 mph and was turning 6750 RPM. The only disappointment was that it still blew out a little oil around the plugs. I double checked, and both were torqued tight. Do any of you veterans have any idea what could be causing this? BTW, both cyls. are making 130 psi.

    Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the reply. I am using the plugs that were in it when I got it. I'll check tomorrow to make sure they are the correct plugs for this engine.

NGK BPR8ES It may just be a worn gasket on the plug. Make sure there is no dirt or anything between the plug and the head. Try some new plugs.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the plugs today and they are the correct plug. I took the ski out again today and there wasn't any additional oil on the top of the heads. I will be getting new plugs before the next trip.

On a side note, I finally got the ski to 50 mph. I'm happy now!

Think of it as an auto oiler system. Just rub that oil around on the head and cylinders to keep it nice and lubed. Haha.

Ripcuda- I like your positive spin on the issue. I'll just use that bit of oil to "rustproof" everything. Thanks for the input guys.
