Thread: Oil changes

I have a 2006 GTX SC and a 2006 GTI SE, and am getting ready to change the oil. Last year, I bought the kits from Sea Doo at $60 a pop. We put about 15-20 hours a year on them, and wondered if we could just suck out the old oil, and add new, or if we need to change the filter every year.

the filter is all you need.. and about 4 qts of your favorite oil ...I like m1 motorcycle oil because of the sc clutch
but most high end oils will work like royal purple, amsoil exc

It's always good to atleast POP open to oil filter and drop a new 1 in.
12.99 at my local seadoos shop.
Valveoline 10/40 motorcycle oil with wet clutch protection for 2.99 a quart.
For $25 a purchase your ready to go for another 50 hrs.

don't forget to throw in a fresh set of spark plugs

Spark plugs are 2.50 each so that's a no brainer....

Filter too...Makes no sense to change the oil and leave a dirty filter in...its like taking a shower and putting dirty closes back on..defeats the purpose...
