2005 GTX 4-Tec Jet Pump Errosion

Hi Everyone; It's been a while since I've been to this site, and wow, has it ever grown and matured -- very nice to see!

Anyway, I have a pair of 2005 Sea Doo GTX 4-Tec skis. In 2007, I replaced the impeller and wear-ring on one of the skis and now it's up for another! My dilemma surrounds the Jet Pump housing itself. As you can see from the photos attached, it has taken a beating -- the fins are broken and chewed, and the aluminum insert appears to have corroded. My question is, should I simply drop in a new wear-ring and pump kit (after I get the impeller repaired) and call it a day. Or should I opt for a new Jet Pump housing? Then the question becomes, do I go fiberglass (OEM) or opt for the Solas all aluminum housing?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Replace the pump with aluminum. Get new bearings and seals, etc., along with a new wear ring and used, good-condition OEM prop.

Is that a plastic pump on a 2005 ski?

that palstic housing is known to flex when its not chewed out. yours has chewed out vanes, its gonna flex even worse. unfortunately you need to repace it. might as well opt for an aluminum upgrade.
either find a good used aluminum pump fully assembled for 350 +/-
or buy all new parts and build pump new, more expensive. but new is new.
swap in the 185 impeller and a 185 wear ring and you are good to go.
