The cooling system is an open system. Injectors spray water into the exhaust to keep it cool. The pressure of the exhaust while running the motor keeps the water srpayed into the pipe flowing from the exhaust pipe to the water box and out of the ski. If you leave the water on without the motor running, it can fill up the exhaust pipe, water box, and eventually work its way up to the exhaust manifold and into the cylinders flooding your engine causing possible hydro lock, rust, and seizure.......

Make your own. I think I spent under $10 for a hose fitting and cap on the water rail....
