Long ride home from salt water use, advice?

Whats up everyone. Being new to the salt game I wanted to see if anyone had any advice. There are times when I have a good hour ride home from running in salt water. I always wash & flush with salt away, but thats usually long after the ski has dried. Some launch ramps have freshwater washdowns which is great but most dont. I was thinking about getting one of those pump sprayers and premixing a salt away solution....at least spray down the motor and jet componenets.

    Any suggestions?

Bring your salt away adapter and attach it to the hose at the freshwater washdown station?

1 hr of sitting wont do anything. Also ditch the salt away and buy dawn dish soap works just as good and cost 2$

Thats only provided they have a fresh water washdown, which most ramps dont.

Really? Interesting. What about the Eco-Friendliness of it? I know Salt-Away is biodegradeable.

Or turtle wax car wash, it binds with the salt and flushs away. Been using it for 20yrs. The best is to find a fresh water lake and run it on the way home- nothing better.

don't forget a good corrosion inhibitor.
I use CRC,(safe for metals, rubber, and plastics)
apply it to everything, the day before you next go to the salt so it has time to dry well.
It'll take alot of the worry out of the hour drive home w/o being able to rinse.
after you do wrench work, just re-apply to the areas that have had the barrier layer compromised, and you're good to go.

An old trick from bass fishing in the marsh. Been running in the salt all day, but had no fresh water hook-ups, car washes, etc... We would find the nearest fresh water ramp, back down, leave the boat on the trailer and crank her up. A few minutes of idling w/a couple of revs always cleaned up the Evinrude.
