    R5 RACE Round 1-2

The first 2 rounds of racing is over, there was a good turnout for all classes and a boad range of skis,
In round #2 in the Pro/Am endurance/sprint race I had the hole shot which made my weekend, but I placed second, I had noticed my RPM's were higher on round 2 compared to round 1, no biggie the ski ran great,
When I looked over the ski at home the next day this is what I found stuck in the intake grate, a piece of the starting band that had been broke on one of Saturday's race,

Glad that is all it was. That ski is very impressive. You and Paige ride it very well. It was definately a great weekend we all had together.

What is causing the red "glow" on the prop and wear ring?

Normal...try epoxy to fill 'em. It may/not work.

On kawi skis we have these little metal filled paper things that fold over the intake grate and get squished up on the rideplate, sort of like a gasket. Its good that the band was the only problem, saves some time and money.
