    How to adjust idle

1200r idles roughly 800 Pms on trailer but would like to get it around 1500-1700 rpms so it doesn't stall in water. Can someone give a picture and what to adjust please?

There is an idle adjustment cable located between the front cylinder and the exhaust boot.

It is a Black plastic knob with slots in it for a screwdriver, it is attached to a cable that goes down to the adjuster located on the bottom front carb. you can see it attached to the fron exhaust bracket in this picture. It is just in front of the cable mounting bracket

look where the cable pulley on the carb is, in front of that is the cable bracket (stainless) in front of that to the left is a black hose, it attaches to the exhaust bracket, that is the idle adjuster. see the black plastic knob on top?

you want it to be 1250 +/- 50 RPM's in the water under load. it will rev higher of course on the trailer.

Jeez big difference between you guys. 3000 seems extremely high out of water. Mine will idle at roughly 850 just fine out of water
