What do you mean by balance shaft for core?
If it is a good useable balance shaft I will take it

you cannot fix the thrust washer area of the block unless you can find oversized thrusts.

the thrust washer area for the balance shaft is rough, I don't think it can be used in its current condition with out some work done.

the guy claims he can alum weld to fill it in and then machine it back down to where it was.

I think without filling in the area with aluminum weld you could machine the area back to where the thrust washer would fit in but you would need a thicker one to take up the space that was machined out. I don't know of anyone that makes a thicker thrust washer for this motor.

Or you could fill it in with aluminum weld and machine it back to how it was before and use the stock thrust washer.

If you weld the thrust area you WILL distort the main bearing journal and as far as i know, there isnt anyone who can really align bore these blocks.

I think the heat from the crank taking out the thrust washer already distorted the main bearing area.
ok so the block is no good? scrap metal? are the cylinder sleeves worth saving? How are they removed?

unless you can find a machine shop who has an Align Bore machine that can cut the mains and the counter balancer bearing journals its a paper weight
