    Disconnecting Oil Pump????

Have a 2000 GPR 1200 and would like to switch to premix. Can I just disconnect the oil pump cable from the pulley and switch to premix? Have the block off plate, but don't feel like pulling the pipe off right now. Looks like a pain to pull the pipe from what I can see....

Disconnecting the oil pump cable is going Drive the pump into gong more oil, it is the fail safe design of the pump. You need to remove the pump to go premix.
