Water control vales on water box for 787`s?

have 2 brand new BRP water control valve regulators to install in this challenger boat. Do they need to be adjusted? I understand they are calibrated from the manufacturer, but so far I`m not seeing any info about it in the shop manual.
Do they just get installed right out of the box? or they have to be adjusted? if so, how? thanks...

Just install them, the red cap is usually flush with the black cap. You can however play with them and adjust them to what fits your riding style. The rumered setup was to take the cap all the way in and then back it out 3 times, but then the red cap is a little over the black cap (not flush). I played with mine to get it right for me.

There are 1/8 inch above flush right now, new out of the box. are they easy to turn? I haven`t fiddled with them yet.
what exactly happens for the need to turn in or out? thanks

1/8 from the top sounds right. They say if you bring in your exhaust raves you do the opposite with the waterbox. Leave em at 1/8 th from the top and install em. It basically adjusts the pressure for the valve to open or close and when/ how much water goes through the exhaust.

ok, I understand what they do, when and why, the new ones are 1/8 above the black plastic housing, your saying bring then down to 1/8 below the black housing?

No leave em 1/8th above. If you turn them all the way and backed out 3 turns it would prob be where it is now.
