    gp800 fuel line issues

I had my ski out at the lake and suddenly whenever u give it throttle it would cut out but idle fine and I noticed I was getting fuel in the hull and found a leaking line at the selector switch,I noticed the 1/4" hose doesn't fit on tightly and even with a ziptie it was leaking .I got some 1/4" worm clamps but they won't tighten enough what are some solutions that everyone has been doing cause I really wasn't to ride tomorrow

I think I'm going to use safety wire to seal the hoses anybody ever done it this way before

You mat need to replace the line if it is that loose. make sure someone hasn't replaced the fuel line with the wrong size.

I replaced the fuel lines with 1/4" transparent blue line from sbt which is what they say is the proper size along with almost everyone else that lhas fuel line listed for this model but I actually went back and dug out the old fuel lines and they are actually 3/16" so I guess I gotta find some smaller fuel line

The fuel line is metric 5mm another odd size not used very often. Old volkswagons used them and I managed to get some in a pinch a long time ago. I replaced with fuel line from Yamaha when I had the opportunity to order.

Ya i might have to go with 3/16 or do u think it might cause fuel delivery problems 3/16 is actually 4.85mm,which is actually very close but people have used 1/4 for a long time with no prob so finding the right clamps is a pain since there are no small enough worm clamps and zipties are useless in this situation.I actually am accomplishing success using safety wire and I double checked with a mightyvac for leaks but if 3/16 is a better fit and won't cause fuel problems then that's what i need to do cause i don't know how long this will bandaid it for
