    Got rock caught in impeller

Was riding today and guess it sucked up a rock when I pulled on the bank, had to run about 3 miles at 5mph to get back to ramp, got it home looked at intake and there's a rock in the impeller acting like a brake, wasnt able to get it out guess I'll have to take ride plate off maybe the pump assy, you guys think the wear ring is bad now see a deep cut all the way around where rock was eating away. just my luck. 07 Gtx non s/c thanks

pull the pump and throw it in the freezer, try to reverse the wear ring to get some more life out of it. if you are cavitating just get a new one for like $40 and you already know how to install it. good luck

you'll be needing a new wear ring soon and hopefully not a lot of damage was done to your impeller.

i have something i'm almost done testing, for just such situations that should be able to get that rock out...

all testing i have done over the past few weeks with things getting sucked up, it was able to pull it out and everyone was able to carry on enjoying the day..

will easily fit in under your storage area's in Sea-doo's, Yamaha's, and Kawi's..
reaches to the prop from both in front throught the grate and through the nozzle

Make sure to use a OEM wear ring the aftermarket ones just don't work very well. Clean the leading edges of prop while its out. Don't take too much off though.

Good picture to show why we shouldn't run in less than 3' of water.
