Looking for a good bunk alternative
So I've read some posts here while researching and still have some questions. I remove my sit down every time and slide on to a cart to garage it. Problem is, I now have a heavier 4-stroke ski and IT'S HEAVY.......
My tailer bunk material is Trex composite decking and so is my cart bunk material. I'd like to make the trailer bunk material more slick to facilitate 'removing' the ski from the trailer.
Liquid Rollers: sounds inexpensive and effective, but not sure if it will work on my Trex decking material
Bunk Mates: basically phenolic resin panels that screw down on my existing bunks. Inexpensive and available locally. Not sure if these are slick enough, though.
Rollers: These sound great but may be overkill.
Any input would be appreciated in helping me figure out what method will allow me to move 1000 lbs easier off my trailer.

gotta be carefully with the bunk mates, seen hulls tore up when the hard strake edges fall into the grooves where the screws are just tear up the strakes

I still like a good 2x4 board covered with indoor/outdoor carpet and spray a light coat of silicone spray on the carpet to make the ski slide easy on it. This spray makes the ski slide so easy from the bunks. If you spray your trailer be carefull to keep your ski hooked to the trailer while backing down the ramp to un load it it might slide off the bunks. Also hook your wench strap befor pulling out of the water. A little spray goes a long way! Tommy Jordan

I use liquid rollers it works great on my carpeted bunks 2x4's coated in fiberglass resin to waterproof them used the fiberglass when it is still curing to wrap the carpet to bunk no staples or glue needed.

I too move skis on and off my double alot and was tired of pushing the rxtx-260 off the bunks. I put rollers on my trailer and now it's not too bad. Also helps with putting the ski in ramps that are very shallow

Liquid rollers hands down. Made by Mary Kate. I can take my fully fueled RXP and pull it off one handed from the trailer to the bunk. Its great stuff. Works extremely well. I'll post a video this weekend.

I just replaced my 2x4 bunks on my shore lander. Decided to swap from 2x4 to 3x4 (ripped 2x6) because two of the four bunks had cracks in them from the weight of the 4-stroke skis.. Liquid rollers is a great product as well.. Really makes a difference..
