Angry GTX SC quit after 10 hours from last rebuild?

I got my SC rebuilt last April and here it is 1 year, and about 10 hours later and it quit again. When Performance East fixed it I believe they said it was the washer and supposedly they replaced it with a steel washer so this wouldn't happen again.

So here is what happened. I was riding in the sound cutting up. I got going straight about to turn around. I started to let up on the throttle and it seemed like it was about to stall. No spitting and spuddering I could just tell it didn't feel right. As soon as I let off throttle completely the engine cut off and gauges stayed on. I pulled key, plugged it in, checked all gauges, no codes, started it up. I didn't hear the SC. It was low on power and would only go 41.

Now, besides the washer is there anything else that could be the problem before I take it back and bitch? Maybe the clutch or something? I definitely don't want to pay another 1300 to fix something that shouldn't have broke again. I may even ask them to tear it apart while I'm there if I can. I just here do many horror stories of dealers not knowing there ass from a hole in the ground and not caring.

    Thanks for any feed back.

Sounds like a washer issue... Pull the charger and look

I looked up the kit that was used on my ski last year. Says the part number is for the one with metal washer. So if they put the right washer and not a ceramic what would you think it would be now?

first remove the air inlet hose to the charger, stick your finger in there and see if you can spin the SC wheel, if it spins like a pinwheel, you`ve got troubles, if your finger comes out with silver dust on it, you`ve got troubles... but we are only guessing until you see if it`s free wheeling or not...good luck...

They screwed you on the s/c rebuild.
But I would make sure all your s/c hoses are attached tight.
