    Help with Buying

Ive been looking at 2 2006 Seadoo RXP they are in really nice shape the one has 31 hours and the other the gauge is bad he said they are the same. I was going to pay $10,000 for both of them until we went to test ride them today. The one with 31 Hours wasnt going past 5800 rpms. Do u thing this is a supercharger problem. Is it still worth getting the Skis if so how much should i pay? Thanks

It's hard to buy a ski that's not working properly. If it is the charger you have no idea when it blew and if there is internal damage.

Sounds like a SC problem. Where it starts getting good is that its an 06 and it probably still had ceramic washers in it. If it where me I would walk away.

There is no telling how long its been run with broken washer pieces on the motor.
They can diagnose it for u and tell u if the hours are actual hours or if guages were changed.
I wouldn't buy if the washers are broken.
You could be in for a night mare.

A dealer can hook up the BUDS and tell you the hours on both skis. The dealer can also run the HINs for any warranty work or work done at a SD dealer. I would pass, if not 100% anyway. I would look for a 08+ or newer RXP or RXPX used or find a left over new RXPX 2011 with warranty. JMO.
