Wanting suggestions for oil tank Post Pump Blockoff

So I was thinking that after I blockoff my oilpump what am I to do with the old oil tank? Yes removing it would be the easy answer. But I was thinking hey wouldn't it be nice to have an extra reserve of fuel on board for those longer days of riding. I dont think this would be that difficult at all to accomplish either. Anyone have thought or input for this?

I'd love to have this for my xl1200ltd. Let me know if you pursue this. What about using the tank as an oil reserve with some sort of stopper?

Sounds like a great plan, but 1.45g of gas wouldn't get you that far.
