2012 RXT iS 260 Steering and other issues....

I just go my new RXT this past weekend. I love it except...
The steering in backwards when in reverse. It even says so in the manual.
Note: Remember that the steering is directions is reversed when backing.
    WTF
Why cant you take it out of Cruise mode without stopping.
    That's just stupid.
In Normal and Econo mode it is such a dog. It will hardly get up on a plane.

The ski will WAKE UP between 5-10 hrs.
It's something about these skis that just happens.
I'm sure they programed then to do it.

yes the steering is backwards from anynormal car or boat because of the jetpump when you turn left it actully goes left instead of turning the opposite way,and do like i do just run sport mode , which is nice to have for people who dont want to go fast can be in touring mode, and people who wanna save gas can be in eco mode

It does say in the manual that it will progressively increase in power. But it should have a tad more power at the bottom end.
As far as I can tell Touring and Econo modes have about the same power levels at the bottom end.
Not being able to disengage the cruise control without stopping is at a minimum annoying... perhaps even dangerous.

I recently bought an RXPX--- Sport mode IS the way to go if you are ready for some fun. I personally like the normal and Eco mode for the fuel efficiency idea. There are many times I am just cruising along to get somewhere but really in no hurry and if it takes a little longer and saves some gas so be it and if I have some less experienced riders it makes me feel a little safer with them behind the wheel.

The steering does take some getting use to in reverse but its the design most jet pumps out there, doesn't take long but in no time you will have it figured out the iBR makes it SOOOO much easier even with the backwards controls of the steering. I can't speak for the cruise control as I do not have it on my ski I wish I did have it but not something I NEED.
