    looking at a GP1300R

Any advice for me here..........? Im looking at a 2004 GP1300R with no mods and 25 hours for $6500.00. What should I be looking for? Does anyone have any strong opinions one way or the other on this year GPR.

    thanks for your time guys

    I second that.

Just for comparison sake. I bought my 05 brand new in 05 for $8100 out the door. At the end of the season I heard they sold a few for around $7500 to get them out. Anything after 05 does have a better pump setup.

It might be worth barely 5,000 with a single trailer. But nothing more, especially since it's bone stock and you don't know who's ridden the dog chit out of it.

Be very careful buying anything in this industry "used". You could end up putting more money in it than what you would have buying a brand new one, then modding it.

these skis (after a while) get to be like PC's, once you walk out the door with it, then it's outdated. The GPR seems to go through this cycle at about the 2 year mark----------UNLESS, and I say UNLESS you know the boat and it's been severily modified for speed and performance. Then and only then it's a different story when considering the resale value.

NADA website will say this boat is worth 6-7k at todays time--------no way hoss. Not in a million years.

    Good luck with your decision.

With only 25 hours on the clock, there's a good chance that this ski is as fresh as a newborn babe. They don't even start running real strong until you have 20 hours on them. Look it over good and make sure it runs good, then beat him down on the price.

Okay guys you have convinced me to wait and look for maybe a newer GP1300R for a better price.
    Thanks for the advice.
