    Tachometer

Some tachometers have a pick-up that relies on detection of the high voltage ignition pulses effectivley "through the insulation" by having a very sensitive input. On a more conventional system, it is easy to find a pick-up point. On the 4-TEC, the coil (and hi-voltage area) is in the Plug Cap itself and therefore can be more difficult to couple to effectivley. Just a thought!

Stock tac would probably be more accurate anyway.

Sunfunzoom,I`m not looking for accuracy, the tach on the 03 S/C only goes to 8000 and I`ve got the RR ecu so my tach just sits on 8000 and I hve no idea what I`m really revving to.

you need the red wire wrapped around a spark plug wire.
