2005 RXP - Mods to Improve Acceleration? Not Top Speed...

I have a 2005 RXP with a stage 2 Riva kit and it was set up by the previous owner to maximize top speed. I mostly just ride Superjets and find that top speed gets boring quickly and there is usually too much chop to do it safely. Instead I would like to change this setup around a bit to maximize hookup and low/midrange acceleration. I would be more than happy with a top speed of around 60mph...

I figure I could start with the intake grate and prop...

    Thanks

14/19 3 blade & either an R&D with girdle kit or a Worx intake grate. Much more acceleration & hookup and only lose 1-1.5mph on top. Get a 4" air intake if it doesn't already have one, Leave the ride plate alone.

Already have an intake... Who makes the deepest scoop grate for these?

R&D has the deepest and is slowest of all the grates.

Looks like R&D it is... The prop that is on the ski is not the same one included in the Riva kit, so I guess I'll have to pull the pump and see what it is.

What is the x stock nozzle size?

P.S. skidoochris, do you have a build thread? Your brief description in your sig sounds like a killer setup.

any used X nozzle will do the trick, then you will need to get the right prop as you will over rev with the bigger nozzle
