    09 clutch locked?

I tried searching for "clutch locked", but did not find any results. :P

I've got 158 hours on my 09 clutch and it was a bit noisy after today *rough* ride. I took off the air filter and I cannot move the wheel either way. It still makes boost, but I think the clutch internals may have locked up. Has anyone seen something like that before?

I know some people were able to "rebuild" the 09 clutches (as I think some parts were/are still available). From anyone who did rebuild their early style clutch, did it hold up ok?

many time the cage has come apart, But no worries the washers on the side contain all the pieces in the clutch assembly.

    Thanks Jim!

I was hoping that it would last a little longer into the summer. I'm still undecided on the 2011 clutch with either the Riva Dampener or the R&D Superclutch and was hoping for more results from others who are racing. Do you have any thoughts one or the other?

I just went for a 2011++++ clutch. One thing I noticed was that the OEM installed clutches in 2011-2012 machines havent been sheeling teeth. I cant afford a superclutch or a Riva dampener. Sure would like to but getting married doesnt exactlly increase the mod fund availibility. When I ordered mine, the joint didnt have it in stock and it and all my other gaskets and crap had to come straight from Yamaha. So hopefully Ill be good to go.
