    2012 RXP-X 260 : Real world data

I've received a lot of messages on YouTube, FB, and Greenhulk asking for gas mileage info on the RXP-X. Well here it is:

Data obtained while crossing the gulf stream from Haulover Marina in Miami Florida to Bimini Bahamas. Seas ranged from 2 - 8ft.

    Distance: 55.74 miles
    Fuel Used: 10.008 gallons
    Ski Mode: Eco Mode
    Average Moving Speed: 28 mph
    MPG: 5.57

2012 RXP-X 260 MPG in rough waters using Eco mode = 5.57 MPG.

Meanwhile, those of us who don't worry about such things threw away the green key immediately, have no idea what "Eco" mode even is (but it sounds BORING), and get about 1 MPG - but we have a ton of fun doing it!

The wave period was like 12 meters, so most of the time it was like riding up and down small hills, and not taking constant chop to the face. As we got closer to Miami the wave period decreased but but so did the height, there it was more slop and chop.

Haha, no green key here either. That was probably the first time I've used Eco mode for longer than 10 seconds. Main point is, a lot of people, including myself, were in under the impression that this new model's gas mileage is way less than the older models. It definitely is if you keep it in sport mode, but if you have to cover some miles and don't mind riding with snail acceleration, the Eco Mode will get you there without killing your fuel tank.

That blue water looks is sweet. Sound like the roller were fun. Show some video of them.
