To ride or not to ride?

Just wondering what others opinion is: was wondering if i should use my 05 rxp this summer. Its got 130 hours on it and im nervous about dropping a valve. Who would ride and who wouldnt? I ride in brackkish water so salt/corrosion is a slight issue.

ride it.. fog it when your done.. valve drops a valve drops.... properly take care of your ski and chances are you will be ok... i have an 05 and up here we never hear of any dropping valves.. just scers and flywheel bolts. we also have a very short riding season but personally i fog my ski often when not in use

I've seen a 05 with just basic services with over 300 hrs.
Sure they changed the s/c washers and oil every 40-50 hours.
    Ride it or sell it.
When they sit they can cost u more to up keep..

mines got 124 hrs on it... only had 80 at the start of last season, our season is now over, how ever i always flush it fog it and spray it with inox
    if it happens it happens!

i think the rusting/damage would occur while its sitting i try and start mine at least every 2 weeks

mine had many more hrs on it and never had an issue, never fogged it until winterizing time... i was running a real air filter and this helps a lot with salty air getting in your engine and corroding the valves..

like mentioned why have it if your not going to ride it. ive got 206hrs on mine with just basic maint oil changes, plugs and charger, i just fog it when it goes away for the winter. a member on here had pointed out to me after you are done riding it start it up and give it a shot of gas to empty the water box.

looks like its unanimous, i was just curious as to what others had to say. Yea 05_RXP i do give it one last good rev before pulling the key when flushing it out. I just ill uncover her tomorrow and look into dropping it off in the water this week.
