Engine running good, but doesn't translate to movement.
Hey all. Here's what I got so ya know what I'm working with:
2006 Seadoo Bombardier LTD 4tec supercharged IC RXT
engine family 6bcxm1.504gs
FEL 24 g/kw-hr hc+nox
displacement 1493.8 cc
exhaust mfi, sc cac
power 160 kw
So we took er' out to the lake. Starts fine, runs fine, but won't move like she sounds. Seems the engine and the impeller aren't communicating properly. I'm guess, emphasize guessing there is some sort of keyway or shear pin that isn't doesn't its job but I'm hoping someone can confirm this so I know what I'm diving into prior to doing it.

1st have you changed the ceramic washers to metal washers on the supercharger?
How fast does it run?

Wear ring inspection? Drive shaft inspection?

Wear ring or bent prop is my guess. Possible spline failure if it isn't moving....

Thanks for the replies. I'm headed out to inspect further now, but to answer the questions it's idling pretty high in the water, bout' 1400. Anything above 5000 RPM and it will barely move, slow it down and it will move but not much past wake less. I'll check back in when I actually have more info.

Pull the pump and check the wear ring and impeller. Sounds like they're thrashed.
Check pump bearings too.

They idle around 1750 in the water. Check your splines on the drive shaft and impeller. If it is a salt water unit rust will take over. Seadoo uses the cheapest stainless.
