xl 1200 ltd, would like your opinion

Hello, I have just rebuilt my XLT, here is what I have done

    SBT cylinder exchange kit.
    Stock SBT impeller
    SBT wear ring and housing
    Intermediate bearing
    Mikuni carb kits
    120 mains,1 1/2 turns high speed, 110 pilot jets, 1 turn low speed, 1.5 n/s 95 gr spring
Removed air plenum and tube, modified air box by drilling it.
Installed oil pump block off, running 32:1, yamalube
Inspected and cleaned power valves, replaced one, using stock linkage.
Built my own free flow kit using stock exhaust hose and some ss pipe (submersible well pump casing)
    D plate and chip.
    I think that is it.

After break in I have 120 psi on all 3 cyl.
Machine seems to be running great, throttle is pretty crisp.
    Got 57.9mph on gps.

    My questions are
Is this speed what I should be getting with this setup?
Is there any other simple mods I should do to get a marked improvement, such as plates, grates, props?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Im not a fan of replacing the nikasyl with sleeves but thats already done.
do you have any idea what RPMs it turning?
Have you done the pump reseal?

87mm GPR exit nozzle drilled and tapped for the reverese gate. gives you anywhere from 1-2mph for $45. Not the greatest setup for rough water but on glass you can tell the difference.

contact jim on here from jims performance and get a ride plate from him, and do a riva intake grate. will help a lot to get that big hull out of the water. do a free flow exhaust, jetworks valve, a set of filters and jetted carbs, and d plate and should be good to go. and prop it accordingly. ANd gpr nozzle is a nice mod.

I just did F/A, your same carb jetting, the GPR nozzle, and a cut R&D ride plate on mine this winter, nice improvement in speed. 12/18 concord running 7380 rpm and 68 gps, up from 62. If the water gets rough, just run a bit more fuel in the tank, works great!

I have rebuilt 2 99 XLLs this winter, one had sleeves and one not. The one with the SBT sleeves is actually running the best at 60+, and the port matching looks pretty good. It had a broken piston and cyl from a piston pin clip coming loose, that is a weak point in SBT in my opinion. The SBT pistons use square edge circlips, which have one sharp edge and one rounded edge. The sharp edge goes out, and you really need to tap the pin pack and forth with a brass punch to ensure complete seating of the circlip. I had 3 clips loose and partway out in the unit I bought and had to rebuild. SBT instructions do not mention the circlip sharp edge out thing.
Not saying I would choose sleeved if I had a choice, but sometimes you have to work with what you got.
