96 Seadoo XP...Runs great...But in calm water at Slow throttle it rocks side to side?

    I have a 96 Seadoo XP...
Runs great...Put a new motor in it last year. I never really had this situation come up last year to know if it was happening then. But in calm water at Slow throttle just above Idle it rocks side to side? When it started I got to shallower water and checked to make sure nothing was in the intake grate, it was clean. Then when I got out of the water I checked the the entire hull over and it looked fine also, nothing really wrong. Ride plate looked ok, Intake grate looked good, Prop looked clean, the wear ring looked good. I filled the fuel tank and went back on the water and it still did it. I am kind of confused on this one so any help or ideas to check would be great.

Did you align your driveshaft/motor when reinstalling your motor? At faster speeds its hard to notice when its out of alignment.

Get an alignment tool. Not to be rude, but how big of a guy are you?

Not big at all, 5'8" 150. I even thought it could have been me throwing off the balance so i kneeled on the seat to try an eliminate any balance issues that I may have been causing.

@sea-one...Did you ever get that issue corrected?

The shop that put the motor in, should have aligned it. Whether they did or not is anyones guess. Only way to find out is have it checked with the alignment tool.

I had the same problem today on my 98 spx, I was riding a weedy lake and had to keep pulling junk out of my scoop grate. I really didn't consider that could be my problem.

I was looking into my steering cable which seems to have more play than it should, when I turn the jet nozzle side to side there is quite a bit of room for the nozzle to move before my handle bars catch in either direction.
