    Both 300 & 260 Down

    Went to change plugs for this weekends races. Broke plug off in 260. Stripped plug in 300. So unnessary Mr. Kawasaki! I have lucked out for 2 years & finally got but big time. Gotta love it! May have to dust off the Turbo Rxt-x. Just sayin.

    You have to use Ant-seize on the threads or they almost become a permanent fixture to the motor lol. I like to change mine while the motor is still hot and it helps breaking them loose. Sorry to hear about your bad luck

    sorry to hear that Doug ,
    but you need to find the criminal that put them plugs in and have a firm talkin to him about over tightening or dry fitting

    Lol!! Yep, I do use anti-seize every time. Just mostly my fault for not pulling them at the end of last season, plus the fact that I may be the criminal with the gorilla arms that put the squeeze on these. I appreciate the good thoughts though.

    Who installed those plugs, you or factory?

    If you did, what torque (ft-lbs) did you torque the plugs?

    Did you ever run your 300X engine without the exhaust filter?

    Spark plugs in an aluminum head don't require much torque at all, you'd think more people would realize this! Use anti-seize and torque easy and you will never have a problem.

    Heli-coil is your friend.

    The 300 is good and getting better. It's simply not for everyone.
