08 GTX LTD ride plate/shoe/grate conversion
In the near future i will be adding more boost to my 08 GTX LTD which hopefully should put it between 75 and 80mph.
At this speed it appears its not uncommon to pull the brass inserts from the pump shoe, potentially breaking the grate and the tab off the ride plate.
Cant imagine any of this being good while doing 70mph+ (should like a good way to get bucked)
The only solution i can find is to replace the pump shoe, ride plate, intake grate, drive shaft etc with parts from the RXT-X.
Im looking at a speed freaks modded plate so it would be silly to mod a 215 plate then have to move to a 255 plate.
Does this sound like a worth while mod? id imagine its going to take a fair bit of work and cost at least $1k as i will need a new ride plate (plus mod costs), new intake grate, new driveshaft (may as well do carbon seal and bellows while I'm at it...), new pump shoe, alignment kit (SBT?) etc
Has anyone been bucked by a failed 215 setup?
At least if i do it before it breaks iv got a sellable intake grate, ride plate, drive shaft etc.

I'm in the process of doing it but can't add to much yet. Worth while if your keeping the ski. Maybe a second hand plate and shaft.
