Wrist pin clip direction
I got the jugs back on the gp1200 with the help of a friend a few nights ago.
I was POSITIVE that I had read that the wrist pin clip opening went to either side, not up or down....now, reading today I discovered I was wrong. I'm pretty sure all mine are not facing the right direction.
Should I be pulling the cylinders again and re-aligning them all?
I'm questioning ALL my work on this engine and being super paranoid - I don't want to have to get into it again this summer.

I rotate the clip so it just past the side of the little removal slot, never had an issue. don't confuse the circlips yamaha uses, with internal e-ring style other brands and SBT uses.

The service manual specifically showed them oriented with the gap in the up position, and IIRC there were warnings in there as well to ensure it was in the correct spot. I read it somewhere else as well, although it slips my mind at the moment.
I ended up having to pull the cylinders again to remedy this as I had indeed screwed it up. That said, over 3 hours on the engine now and all well, so I'll consider it insurance at this point, even if it wasn't 100% necessary..
Thanks for the reply.
