    2009 260LX snapped Impeller

I am having the 300LX pump shaft bearings done and they just called and said the impeller must have been over torqued by the factory and they snapped it. Major bummer.

So I need a replacement - any recommendations?

I don't know the pitch of the OEM or if I should think of going to something else.

    your advice is appreciated.

sounds like BS to me........how does one actually snap an impeller? I have worked on many impellers, and have never had a problem.

Are you sure the impeller snapped not the shaft?
    And who's "they"?
Whoever "they" might be, did you aski if they heated up the pump before trying to loosen?
The stainless steel shaft and stainless steel impeller are known to cold-seize each other if not heated up during disassembly.
Also, corrosion might have built up between the threads.
It's a ALWAYS a good idea to heat up the shaft/impeller with a torch to loosen them up.
To me, it sounds like "they" are blaming on the factory to cover up their incapability.

If the stock impeller has worked well for you, then just get the same one - Kawi P/N 59255-3736.

So can I send the old one back to Impros and they can make it useful? That is where the new one came from.

Glad to have it back finally but didn't like the process or the cost. At least the bearing update is done.
