HELP wife and kids are MAD

2007 rxp supercharged with 42 hours that was running perfect. I decided to do what I thought was right and remove charger and send to Jerry's and have the washers changed. got charger yesterday put it back in and go to lake today and this thing won't rev past 5600 rpms and only go about 40 mph. I see others have this same problem. please what was your solution. I'm assuming slip is good because I can't turn the charger by hand when in the ski. the old ceramic washers still look great. kids are saying why did you mess with it.

+1 most likely a boost leak.

did not see anything leaking while looking at it triple checked everything. have it home now and have pulled the charger out and will take it to dealer on Monday and have him check for slip. ( he told me if it's running good then don't mess with it) I did not listen. my dealer would not just change the washers that's why I sent it to Jerry. I can see his face now and I actually might drive about 45 miles to go to a different dealer. I will also try and get a hold of Jerry. one thing my dealer warned me of just changing washers is that he has seen people do that and then spin a bearing. is that a possibility? if a bearing spun would the charger spin freely when in the machine because mine had no spin to it, it was tight.

I should ad that when first starting out today there were two surges of power that went to around 7600 rpms then the rpms dropped like a rock to 5600. didn't even ride it for 200 yards and I knew something wasn't right.

Sounds like a hose clamp isn't tight. You give it gas and it blows the boost pressure past the clamp.
    Imo

    Good luck at the stealership..

Boost leak on the pipe from SC to throttle body. Tighten those clamps tight.

Highly doubt its your charger. Boost leak most likely as others mentioned.

+1 especially with you hitting 7600 then rpm falling off. please troubleshoot this before going to the stealership.
