    gp1200 pulling to left

i have 1997 gp 1200, and it is running great had for 10 years. recently though when going above 40mph or so to 60mph the ski veers off to the left. enough that it will throw the inexperienced and i have to lean to the left alot to have it somewhat be corrected.

I have check the steering linkage, the sconses, the trim tabs, the trim tabs below (for that year) all seems fine and tight , can anyone tell me what else to look for, even the local repair place cant figure it out.

If the intake grate not put on squarely can pull you to one side it can pull u one way or the other. I don't see why it would change over the years unless you had it off

I've seen this happen on a rxtx.
It was the intake grate was bent.
The ski would go to the right real hard at 50mph.
Replaced the grate and it was perfect again.

Trim tab is the most common on this ski. If they are still the plastic ones, one could be flexing and pulling away from the hull at speed and causing the sharp left pull. The solution is to replace them with aluminum trim tabs.

okay thanks i will look at the intake grate first and see if it appears straight, and also the trim tabs. I did have the plastic trim tabs and was missing one and assumed that was causing the pulling to one side, i replaced it and it did nothing so i dont think that would be it, it may actually pull more when i did replace it
