Would oil on the stator mess it up?

Hey guys I'm on the hunt to find out what is wrong with my ski, it ran great but I found crack in oil pump that was leaking so I changed it, then it ran like crap, sounded kinda like a cylinder or two wasn't firing. I checked to se if there was spark and there was, this lead me to go through the carbs again, but now I'm thinking maybe if oil got on the stator maybe its doing something to the ignition, Idk just an idea on this mystery.

What year/model? My stator was pretty oily and it still works fine.

Stator is for charging, unlikely thats your issue. Whats the voltage reading when your running? Whats the compression check show?
