Need help understanding work done by seadoo dealer

    Hi,

my 1998 gsx limited was bugging down when on water would not go over 3000RPM, I took it to an authorised seadoo dealer and they got it fixed for me but some of the stuff they said doesn't sound quite right:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Re & re carbs, clean & adjust, synch all
Accelerator pump was non-functioning & is now slightly better
    River test - OK
PTO carb is jetted incorrectly but unable to repair, unimportant after this many years
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
when they say accelerator pump is now slightly better couldn't they made it perfect ?
PTO carb is jetted incorrectly but unable to repair, what roles does it play ?

what is all done to this ski for starters? why is the jetting different from one carb to the next? did you do this?

The accel pump has a nozzle in both carbs - there is no way to control the flow to either nozzle - the best you can hope for is clean nozzles and a decent squirt..

I have two 98 GSX-L and the PTO cylinder runs richer then the mag cylinder - even though the jetting is the same in both carbs.. It is also said that the rear cylinder should be jetted richer and it usually has the next size up main jet.. In the case of these boats and the plug color it should really be a size smaller..

With that said - Enjoy your boat - it's all good now...

Everything within the quotes is what was done to the Ski, that's what's written on the work order.
