    How accurate are these speedo apps?

    I just noticed that android has an app for speed based on the phone GPS. It seemed to be pretty consistent with my truck on the way home from work.

    How close are they to actual GPS devices?

    We use the one for iPhone 4 called MAX SPEED; developed by a Green Hulk member and very accurate...
    plus it's FREE!!!

    Too bad they did have data logging or something like that. I don't know if any others do or not but this speed view app I have for droid doesnt.

    I guess I do have a max speed of 81 listed here. I just have to find a way of clearing that if possible.

    I tested this app against a "certified" speedo in one of our "company" cars and it was dead nuts on......plus it was FREE!!!

    Wow, I never knew that. I have had that app since Aug, its really good. I like that I can see how many miles I have gone when I ride too.
