    Supercharger install question?

I got mine back from Jerry, installed it and went to the lake. Today I read the directions. I used anti sieze and not loctite. Is that the wrong thing to use should I take them out and use loctite? Also how important is torque. I just snugged them down good.

    Thanks,

    Newcastle

Your fine the mounting bolts have no real load on them.

Given that it is part of your drive train and will vibrate I would prob pull them back out and locktite them.

I never put anything on mine. They are enough of a PITA to get out at times without the loctite.

JBristo, your first post at 236am yesterday states that you don't have a sc ski and know nothing about them.. Trying to get post count up, there are a lot of open discussions to do that in that won't require members to do un-needed work.

+1 on you're good to go, ride it...

I took out the original 4 bolts(I believe they were torx head), and replaced them with Allen head. I only use 3, as the 4th one is just to difficult to get in and out, and I don't use loctite-but blue wouldn't hurt anything.
Removed it several times, and after almost 200 hours, it hasn't moved.

I would use torque, you allways tighten too much if not But I would leave it like it is now in your case

There are only 3 mounting bolts on a Scer, not 4...BUT thats is a wise move to replace them as the Torx head bolts can and do strip/round off...

You sure?? Doh!! Shows you how long I've had it out. I only use 2 bolts then-the one that's really hard to get too...well, I just left that out, and it's been fine.
Replacing the torx with allen's wasn't my idea-came from a good friend of mine, that unlike me, has a clue.
Now let me see; it's four fingers, and 1 thumb, right???
I think I'm about 10ish hours from having mine rebuilt a second time.......
