Arrow Table of Polaris drive shaft lengths and part numbers?

I am considering relocating the 1200 engine rearwards in my Hurricane and would like to know what all the other Polaris drive shaft lengths are.

I thought I had this info on hand, but apparently not. If you have it handy, please post.

And no, I have not yet gotten this Hurricane wet yet. Just hauled it out of storage for the first time and was thinking about what my options might be if an extended ride plate and HX sponsons doesn't civilize the ride sufficiently.

One option is to shift all the engine mounts rearwards 4 inches and install an extension wear ring in the jet pump. Stock Hurricane has the short pump, which is still there.

Another option is to shift the engine back 5.5 inches and utilize the original twin engine front mounts, then glass in new mounts 5.5 inches farther back. But is there a stock drive shaft that would accomodate that?

My understanding is that the standard Hurricane drive shaft (5131227) is 32 5/8 inches long. I have not pulled the jet pump yet to check anything and I haven't seen my spare Hurricane drive shaft recently

    Other than the Hurricane shaft,
there is the standard short shaft at 20 3/8,
the extended shaft at 24 3/8
and the pro 1200 shaft at 18 3/8.

Then there is whatever was used on the MSX.

I don't know of any others

    Thanks

Looks like the only reasonable option would be the extended pump 24 3/8 shaft.

That would mean shifting the Hurricane engine back 8 2/8 inches with four relocated mounts. Overall that might work out OK given the heavier engine and shift the center of gravity rearwards relative to the stock twin (how much I would need to calculate).

MSX drive shaft That might be interesting too.
