I would try it out, but wouldn't wanna get stuck paying $5-7 a gallon for that high Oct fuel!

I personally found 89 to be suffecient down here. I got the best hours of run time from it. 87 yeilded loss of performance (noticeable) as well as poor fuel economy. 93 yeilds slight more power but I really feel that fuel consumption was slightly less than 89. I run only 93 just because of the heat down here. I have never heard detonation with 89 but the supercharger is heating up air which would cause detonation. The motor runs surprisingly cool. And I run mine hard. A full tank generally lasts me 2 - 2.5 hours. I really do not see any possible benefits from running race fuel. If the heads were shaved then yes along with a different charger impellor. But the comp ratio doesn`t come close to warrant the use of it. I couldn`t even see using it with a different ecu that had the timing extremely agressive.

Using fuel with a higher octane than recommended by the mfg. in a stock engine will actually slow you down !! The higher the octane the "cooler" the burn which amounts to less power. However, I have always used 93 in all 2-stroke engines as a safety measure. The 2-strokes are more inclined to be damaged by detonation than a 4-stroke. One tank of bad gas and goodbye motor. The electronics in modern 4-strokes will change the timing if "pinging" is detected and prevent damage although power output will be reduced accordingly.

The performance of any stock ski will fall flat on it's face with the use of Race Fuel.

Hey Spidercraft I cannot beleive you got a picture on here before I did

Spidercraft is not stock, he's running Riva Stage 1, home made air system, BOV, SC Impeller, you have to realize that our 93 oct. is about 90 oct. in the US or this is what I'm being told.
