    Paint for aluminum?

Anyone got any ideas on how to paint a set of aluminum handlebars? I don't want it to chip easily. Thanks

Where are you located? I just bought a cheap powdercoat setup, and I need to learn how to paint! Gotta practice on something, and I don't wanna start with my parts! No charge, but you can't bitch about how it turns out! I'm in upstate NY, near Syracuse.

Still trying to find a big enough oven to do a friend's snowmobile skis.

Sure, strip off the paint and send them to me! Nothing too big, it's gotta fit in a kitchen sized electric oven. Oh, and it's only going to be yellow or black, that's the only colors I have so far...

I've got a plan to make a lid to fit over the door, to double the size of the oven, but haven't sourced the insulation yet. Basically just a 4 sided cube that will sit on the door, with an extended rack.

I don't have a blast cabinet yet, not sure what I'm going to do about that. I have a portable sand blaster, but it's pretty sucky. Cheezy little Craftsman model. Last time I stripped a motorcycle frame, it took 2 days!

Delagem, I'd let you experiment on the the H bars. I think she'll look better with black bars vs. polished aluminum. I hate polished aluminum, that's why my bike is all chrome. We need to get you a diiferent pump for your ski, that old style is not as efficient. I've got a short pump I can sell if you're interested, it's even got a good impeller for a 750 on it. Let me know.

It won't stay that clean long, unless you cleared them. 2-3 days and that stuff starts to tarnish. Like a woman, polished alum. is high maintenance!
