Ocean Pro Vortex brass fitting question.

I have an SL750 and use premix fuel. I wanted to install a primer kit and thought it would be easy with these brass fittings on these Ocean Pro Vortex flame arrestors I have. Below is a picture of the fitting that I had previously had capped off.

The issue is all three fittings seem clogged or blocked off inside. I tried to use a thin piece of wire to clean it but it will not go through. THEN I got a drill bit and poked it in there and it would not go through. Clearly I am missing something. If I try to blow air or solvent through, nothing happens. What are those fittings intended for?

your memory is a big help to me. Five minutes later and the primer lines are installed.

    Thank you very much.

They are check valves for your oil lines.

Hopefully you didn't damage them, if you did, make sure you cap them air tight to prevent air from getting in.

Not damaged. Is there any reason I should not use them for fuel for primer ports? I hooked the lines to them and they squirt gas when I push the button.
